BABY'S POO

My 3 months old baby is pooing on alternate days and she doesnt want to poo in her diaper if it's wet. She will poo only after i open up her diaper and wipe her front and back with wet tissue and she will poo on the wet tissue itself. I got a sense that she doesnt like to pass out her poo if diaper is wet. Is it normal?

Totally normal, don't worry! Around 2-3 months, babies' guts mature and it's very common for them to stretch out to pooing every other day or even less frequently, someone in my mum group mentioned her baby went from four dirty diapers a day to just one every two days right around that age, and the paediatrician said it was completely fine as long as the poo isn't hard or pellet-like. As for your girl refusing to poo in a wet diaper, honestly that's quite smart of her, some babies are just very particular about being clean before they'll relax enough to go, and wiping her first is just her way of signalling she's ready. The key things to watch are whether she seems uncomfortable, is straining a lot, or the poo comes out dry and hard, if all is soft and she's feeding well, she's just being a little diva about her diaper situation, which is actually pretty cute!
