It's quite common actually and doesn't automatically mean complications, just that your doctor is being extra cautious and monitoring more closely, which is reassuring in its own way. On the insurance side, that's a really practical question but honestly the policies vary so much between providers that you'd need to check directly with them or ask your gynae's clinic if they've dealt with this before when mums apply. The important thing right now is just following your gynae's plan and keeping up with your scans so they can track how things are progressing.
