Bumps on baby
My 2 month old has been having these little bumps for a while. Any idea what it is? I thought it was baby acne but it doesn't seem to be going away.
At 2 months, bumps like these could be a few different things, baby acne, milia, heat rash, or even sweat rash from milk or lint getting trapped in the skin folds. My friend brought her baby to the paed when the bumps lingered past a few weeks and the doctor said it was just milia, which clears on its own without any treatment needed. Some mums have tried Aveeno Baby or the Aveeno eczema range to soothe the skin, though honestly a few said it did not make much difference for milia or baby acne specifically, it really depends on what the bumps actually are. The main thing to try in the meantime is keeping baby cool and dry, especially around the neck and cheek folds where milk can collect. Since it has been going on for a while, it is really worth having the paed take a proper look to rule out anything that needs treatment.
