It is okay to eat chocolate during pregnancy, but only in moderation. Chocolate is high in sugar and calories, so eating too much might result in unhealthy weight gain and increase the risk of gestational diabetes. Also, chocolate contains caffeine, which you should reduce to below 200 mg a day during pregnancy.

Hậu sản

It's okay to eat a small amount of chocolate after giving birth. Theobromine and caffeine in chocolate can affect your sleep. Eat dark chocolate if you must.

Cho con bú

Eating chocolate while breastfeeding is fine, so long as you don't overdo it. Chocolate contains theobromine, a stimulant similar to caffeine. Theobromine is generally not an issue for breastfed babies unless the mum eats chocolate in very large amounts.

Trẻ sơ sinh

Chocolate is not suitable for babies under the age of 11 months.
