Learning coding and becoming a doctor are not mutually exclusive. At Saturday Kids we don't advocate coding for kids because they will all become software engineers. Kids should learn to code because through coding they learn computational thinking - concepts like abstraction, algorithm design, automation, decomposition etc. Check out the last paragraph in this recent New York Times article (link below). The doctor profiled in the article says technology has made him a better doctor. His patients are better served, and he is happier. That is why you son should learn coding.
