When should a healthy individual with strong family history of cardiovascular disease (eg heart attack, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension) start getting screening tests done? And what would the tests be?

You should let her your doctor know about your family’s medical background as soon as possible. She can refer you to a specialist for more help if required. Basic screening tests for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol checks should start in your 20s.I usually go for the ones offered by medical professions engaged by my company. Check with your HR if such things are available. Advanced testing likely not necessary unless your family history points to a specific genetic condition.
