What screening tests are recommended for every mum during the first trimester of pregnancy?

The screening tests are blood test to check for low blood count, blood group and screening for infection like Hepatitis B, Syphilis and HIV. Urine test is also done to exclude silent urine infection. Towards the 12-14wks of pregnancy, screening for Down’s Syndrome is usually done with scans and blood tests.
