Since there are no community answers or web sources to draw from, I honestly don't have enough reliable details to share specifics on all the different Southeast Asian rituals, and I would hate to give you the wrong info. Maybe post this in a more specific group for your own culture or community, as a few of my mum friends found really detailed answers that way. Someone with first-hand experience from their own family traditions will give you much better and more accurate answers than I can lah.
