Amniotic fluid low and small abdominal circumference at 28 + 2 weeks

Question

Went for growth scan and my amniotic fluid is low, at 8.1cm, babys abdominal circumference is measuring small in the 7th percentile and fetal weight is 1043g at 12th percentile. My dr said it could be due to underlying placenta issues and may have to induce at 37 weeks if thats the case and wants to do a rescan in a week to monitor. Any moms have advice or experience on this? #firsttimemom

I had a scare with low amniotic fluid and a smaller-than-average baby during my pregnancy too, mummy. ❤️ The extra scans were stressful, but my OB focused on monitoring growth closely and baby continued to do well. Try not to panic over one scan result. The rescan next week will give a better picture of whether baby is growing consistently. Wishing you and baby all the best, mummy.
