2nd trimester detailed scan price in Singapore 2024

Just went for my 2nd trimester scan for both KKH and Mt Alvernia ( my doctor is in Mt Alvernia but I had to go to KKH for follow-up check up after my recent surgery while pregnant hence I did two scans) KKH subsidised right - $192.93 inclusive of GST Mt Alvernia - $283.40 What’s the difference? You only get your result in KKh after you see your doctor which may not be immediately after your scan.  Could be the following week. The one doing the scan is nice but the hand can be quite heavy especially when they are ‘disturbing the baby’ to show face or get detailed scan of the heart. MT Alvernia you get the result immediately then you see your doctor right after to explain the result. The Sonographer also point out everything and give comments like it’s within normal range etc. Good luck mummies!

This is really helpful info, thank you for sharing the breakdown so clearly. The price difference is not that huge when you factor in that Mt Alvernia gives you results on the same day and you see your doctor right after, because waiting a whole week for results during pregnancy is honestly quite stressful. I think for peace of mind, the extra amount at Mt Alvernia could be worth it for many mummies, though KKH subsidised rate is still a good option if budget is a concern lah.
