Haha no worries, first time mom confusion is real! Birth registration is actually for your baby, you'll need to register their birth at the Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) within 60 days, and you'll need documents like your marriage cert, IC, and hospital birth cert. A few of us mums did it online through MyJPNKids portal which was faster than going to the office, tapi some areas still kena walk in je, better call your local JPN first to confirm. It's a bit bureaucratic but straightforward once you know what docs to bring, so don't stress!
