Sino po dito na detect sa newborn screening na may congenital Hypothyroidism si baby? Nag ta-take po ako bg PTU while preg. as reco. ng aking OB. Nang nanganak ako at nagpa NBS , ng positive sya sa CH. 😔Posible daw po sa PTU kaya nag positive.
Ay mama, nakakaworry talaga yan! Please follow up agad with your baby's pediatrician or endocrinologist para sa confirmatory tests at proper management, hindi dapat maghintay kasi important ito sa development ng baby. It's good na nag-take ka ng PTU as prescribed ng OB mo because managing your own thyroid condition during pregnancy was the right call, pero ang next steps talaga dapat determined ng doctor with repeat screening results.
