We're planning a family trip to the zoo. My toddler, and my 8-year-old niece will be joining us. Is the Manila Zoo appropriate for both age groups? Or should we try somewhere else...suggestions?

I'd suggest Avilon Zoo in Montalban, Rizal. Nicer surroundings, less people, gorgeous animals. They also have a petting zoo in the Tiendesitas area if you want to stay within the city first.
