1st Gynae Appt

Hi all, my preferred Gynae is only available to see me when I am at 9 weeks. Is this too late for my first check up? Thinking if I should change Gynae to get an earlier appointment, though not sure if an earlier appointment will change any outcome.

9 weeks is ok. Not much can be seen at week 7, even if it's transvaginal scan. Week 9 has a better chance of seeing the embryo. If you're feeling fine and there's no abnormal bleeding or something, week 9 is OK. Just rmb to take folic acid.

Thank you for your advice!

Personally, I think week 9 is fine! My first gynae check up was week 10. Of course, if you’re more comfortable with checking earlier at week 7-8, you can change a gynae to get an earlier appointment.

Thanks for reassuring me!!

i think 9 weeks is still ok. I went for my 1st appointment at week 7 and doc says still very early, cannot confirm EDD. Was asked to do the same scan & check again 3 weeks later.
