SSS Maternity Benefits

Hello po. Ask ko lang. EDD ko is January 2026. Nagstop ako sa work ng May 2025 lang. Need ko pa ba maghulog as voluntary para may makuha or pasok naman sya sa EDD ko? Still employed pero di nakakahulog na si company since on leave nako and advise for bed rest. Last na hulog is May 2025. Thank youuuu.

Uy, that's a tricky situation talaga! Honestly, I'd really recommend calling SSS directly or visiting their office para malaman mo exactly kung kailangan mo pa ng voluntary contributions, kasi ang maternity benefits nila ay may specific contribution requirements, and with your last payment in May tapos EDD mo January 2026, kailangan mo sure na covered ka na before your delivery date. One of my mum friends had similar concerns and the SSS staff were actually super helpful sa phone, so don't hesitate to reach out to them, better safe than sorry, especially pang-maternity benefits na important talaga!
