i used to peel till my kids turned 2, and then let them have it with the skin. of course i know that there is a lot of issues related to giving the peel, such as the possibility of pesticides and colour being added and so on. but if you really wash it well and scrub it before giving, i have not really felt there is any health scare in giving the apple with peel. in fact, the skin of fruits and vegetables are really healthy, so unless you notice any discomfort or health issue, you can start giving once your baby is over 2 or 3 years of age.

Yes. Infact I peel all the fruits before giving it to anyone. All because I do not trust the product that comes in the market as nowadays all the eatables are sprayed with pesticides and all to prevent them from rotting, so I make sure that atleast I do my bit by peeling the outer layer, which has been sprayed or been lying open in the market.

It would be better if u peel. Apples come in different varieties. There r some that are thin skinned like rose or Fuji apples. These u can thinly sliced and give wit skin. Those u feel r little thick skinned try to avoid. Also with the advent of pollutants, it's better to peel and give.

At a toddler age, yes best to peel the apples as recommended by the mommy above. But if the child is older (4 and above), I don't mind giving him or her unpeeled apples. I'd wash them thoroughly and cut the apples into small pieces or wedges to ensure a choking hazard is prevented.

At toddler age, I don't think peeling is necessary given they've learnt to chew food. I give me daughter slices of apple without peeling, tell her to chew the akin really well or it will annoy her. She understands and eats properly.

Yes. We still would like to avoid any possibility of not being digested well in a toddler's tummy. Also, even if we wash the peeling well, sometimes there's no guarantee that it's 100% safe to be eaten by very young children.

My cousin does not peel the apple for my niece. The skin of the apple is nutritious. She washed it thoroughly before cutting it into smaller pieces and giving to my niece.

Yes, I do. When my tot was much younger, I even peel grapes. haha.. He is just too sensitive with those peels. But he learned to bite and chew on them as he gets older.

Peel if it's not organic apple. If you use a knife to scrape the skin of the Apple, you can actually see wax falling out.

I use to peel it for my daughter but then she didn't want it peeled. She tells me me big big girl mommy
