Salonpas for breastfeeding mom

Hi parents, any idea if I can use salonpas on my shoulder if I’m breastfeeding (pump)? Will it affect the breastmilk? Thanks! #FTM

Since you're exclusively pumping, that actually makes things a bit easier, from what I've heard, the main concern with Salonpas is really for mums who direct latch, because babies can react to the camphor smell when held close. That said, a few mums I know mentioned applying it right after a pumping session and wiping the area clean before the next one, just to be safe. Honestly though, some mums used it with no issues at all, while a small number felt it was better to avoid it altogether given the camphor content, so there's no clear-cut consensus. It's really worth a quick check with your doctor or a lactation consultant who knows your full situation, just to be sure.
