LOCHIA After Giving Birth

Ay sis, one week lang? That's quite early pa! From what a few of us moms have experienced, lochia usually lasts around 4-6 weeks after giving birth, mas matagal talaga ang expected timeframe. Usually the first week or two yung heaviest and brightest red, tapos gradually becomes lighter and more brownish-yellowish towards the end. Some mums I know had it for closer to 8 weeks, pero that's on the longer side; others wrapped up around 4 weeks lang, really varies per person. If the bleeding stopped completely after just one week, that's definitely something worth asking your OB about, kasi it could mean something's not quite right, or it could also be normal for your body (pero better safe than sorry!). Keep an eye on any signs like sudden heavy bleeding, bad odor, or cramping, and check in with your doctor para ma-confirm na lahat's good. Take care!
