There's Australian articles that say that follow up fm stage 3 and 4 are totally unnecessary and play on the parents "Kia su" attitude of scared of not giving child balance enough diet so parents keep falling back on fm which is nothing more than just marked up prices with some simple ingredients thrown in. So after 1 yr is a good time to slowly make the switch for alternative - which many pple share above - fresh milk etc. by 1 yo the child shld be well introduced into solids and solids as the main way of consuming nutrients and not really milk

You can stop giving formula from 1 year old onwards because after they turn 1, food is the main source of nutrients so there's no need to supplement with milk/formula if LO is okay with not having milk and eating well :) If you'd still like to provide milk, then you can consider fresh milk as an alternative - cow milk, goat milk or plant-based milk like soy and almond are fine too! Having said that, it's still up to you and your child's personal preference as to when you stop or what you switch to.

my daughter is 10 years old but i am still giving her gain-similac 2 glasses a day. she is tall for her age and already a grade 6 student this year with general ave of 95.33% last year. i think this has something to do with proper nourishment aside from genetic predisposition. bihira lang siya magkasakit at kung magkasakit man. konting ubo at sipon lang.

Its best to give formula for as long as the child wants. Its beneficial in so many ways. However, you may consider fresh milk too such as Farmhouse and Greenfields. Otherwise you may also opt for fresh goats milk, it can be purchased at Prime Supermarket or you may order it directly from the farm. Hope this helps.

I transited to fresh milk at ard 2 to 2.5 yrs old when i wean them off the milk bottle. Once on cup i replacenFM with fresh milk though elderly ppl have issue with serving it cold.... I myself drank FM till primary school no thanks to the massive marketing of FM in the 80s

I stopped giving formula milk when my daughter turns 2.5 years old. Substitute it with devondale fresh milk powder. As long as your kid is having a balanced milk, there's no need to supply formula milk.

My elder now 5yo is drinking fresh milk daily. Meji Fresh Milk. My 2nd son who is fully breast feed. i offered fresh milk once he turn 18months as he rejected all FM.

When my daughter turned 1, we were told by our pediatrician that she can take normal cow's milk. We never gave her formula. Just breastfed then cow's milk.
