INTRAVENOUS (IV) IRON INFUSION

Nag laboratory ako last Saturday and result shows na mababa ang hemoglobin ko kahit nagtatake ako ng iron tablet every night before meal. So suggestion ni OB itigil ko muna yung tablet & sa next week Monday sasaksakan ako ng iron thru IV. May same case po ba sakin & after the infusion ano po naramdaman nyo, ano po yung side effects nya? Thank you #FTM #29weeks

Uy, karamihan ng mummies ko naman na nag-IV iron kasi hindi kumuha ng tablet, most of them said parang tumaas agad ang energy nila within days, pero madali lang mag-feel ng slight heaviness or slight metallic taste sa mouth right after, normal lang yan at mawawala agad! I haven't personally done it pero one of my close mum friends said mas mabilis talaga ang resulta compared sa tablets, kaya hindi ka mag-iisa dito, check with your OB din kung pwede kang iask ng specifics on what to expect after mo na talaga ipasaksak para peace of mind, pero honestly alam ko na maraming mamas na nag-improve agad after.
