There are mixed reviews on this topic. Based on Kellymom, there is no scientific research that shows that breastfeeding mom's diet can cause baby to have gassy stomach. Almost all babies will have gassy stomach from time to time which some babies are more serious than others. Gassy stomach is often resulted when baby sucks in too much air during feeding and this got to do with baby's drinking technique and also mommy's milk flow. http://kellymom.com/parenting/parenting-faq/gassybaby/ However, many moms do believe that certain foods can cause more gas in baby. The type of foods that affect the milk quality varies among mommies. It is good to take note of mommy's diet and baby's reaction after each feeding to determine which type of foods will cause colic. There are a list of food which seem to be more common in causing colic. Attached image.
