Spotting / brown discharge

Hi mummies, just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I’m currently trying to conceive. About a few days after ovulation, I started having brown discharge that has lasted for about a week. My period was supposed to start 2 days ago, but so far it’s only been brown discharge — no proper flow, and I don’t need a pad, just a panty liner is enough. Today there’s slightly more discharge. When I wipe, there’s a little bit of blood mixed with brown discharge, but still no heavy flow — a panty liner is still sufficient. I took a pregnancy test since I’m “2 days” late, but it was negative. I tested in the afternoon, about 4 hours after my last pee. Is this a false pregnancy alarm or just hormones playing with me ? 🥹🥹😵‍💫 I’m worried that this irregular period will mess up by next ovulation day. #Needadvice
