toddler keep crying

Hi mummies. My toddler is 17 months old. Recently he cry alot over a little things. Want to hug him he push me away n continue crying. Tried to hug him but he struggle here n there. How do mummies handle this? Pls give me some advice. Thanks

Distracting them and being playful or talking to them and taking their mind away from whats bothering them at that point has worked for me
