TMC Post csect abdominal binder

Hi mummies that did csect at TMC, did you guys get the binder from TMC or brought your own? Is there a difference? And what’s the price for the one at TMC? Thank you!!

Oh I totally understand this dilemma, I had the same question when I was preparing for my own C-section at TMC a couple of years back! From what I recall, the binder they provide at TMC is a basic hospital-grade velcro type, and it does the job for the immediate post-op days, but some mummies find it a bit stiff and not the most comfortable for longer wear once you're back home. My neighbour delivered at TMC recently and she mentioned the hospital binder was around $25 to $30, which is decent for a no-fuss option, though she ended up buying a separate one later for better comfort and longer support during recovery. Some mummies are perfectly happy just using the TMC one throughout, while a few others prefer to bring their own from outside, especially the ones with better compression and adjustable panels, which can range anywhere from $50 upwards depending on the brand. If you plan to wear it beyond the first week or two, it might be worth investing in a better quality one on top of what TMC provides. Wishing you a smooth delivery and a speedy recovery, you've got this, mama!
