Mamypoko vs huggies for nighttime

Hi mummies. Previously my son was using mamypoko XL pants diaper (mickey version bought from lazmall-mamypoko) and has no issue from nighttime leaks. Recently i changed it to huggies platinum pants XL and it leaks every night. I thought by “upgrading” his diaper he’ll be more comfortable but ended up crying every night due to leaks. Huggies seems more comfy for him though. The waist band isnt as tight as mamypoko’s. Is the leak due to the diaper size (too big/small) or huggies just isnt for him?
