Preschooler Tantrums

Hi moms, I'm a first time mom and my child is already 4 yrs old. Her tantrums are getting worse ever since I started working. Even though I'm a WFH mom, her dad and I are on a night shift so mostly during the day we are asleep. Lately we observed that her tantrums are getting worse that before. Is she lacking attention from us? Any advice please.

Oo, it's likely a mix, 4-year-olds really do need that consistent daytime presence, and the schedule change probably confused her a bit, lalo na kung she's used to you being around. A few of us mums went through the same thing when we shifted to night shift work, at talagang napansin namin na mas kumukulit at mas nag-act out ang kids during those times kasi they feel the change in routine, hindi lang exhaustion lang. What helped sa amin was creating really solid anchor activities with her during your awake hours, even just 30 mins of focused play or a consistent snack routine together, para ramdam siya na present ka pa rin, at maybe talk to your doc or a child psychologist kung it continues kasi sometimes there's more going on emotionally, especially at that age. Hugs, ito talaga challenging season ng parenting pero makikita mo, it's not a forever thing once she adjusts.

just saw this reply. this is true now 5 na sya . super understanding nya naman lalo kindergarten na sya hinahayaan nya lang kami matulog during the day. nag lalaan din muna kami ng time sakanya bago kami matulog. and nireremind namin sya na if kailangan nya kami okay lang na gisingin nya kami. bantay sakanya yung brother ko and mostly nasa labas napang talaga sya lalo na madami na syang kalaro 😅 importante din talaga sa mga bata ang communication kasi akala mo di nila maiintindihan kasi bata pa sila pero hindi pala
