Taking bus with a toddler

Any mommies experience the bus driver not stopping near the kerb and having to lift or carry the stroller with ur toddler? Getting a bit annoyed as its not light and sometimes the kerb is quite a big gap. Will you tell the driver? Will they get 'angry'?
