Hi mama! At 4 weeks, it's quite early for linea nigra to show up, most of us don't see it until second trimester, but honestly, some mums do get it earlier because of how their hormones are acting, so it's definitely possible. The dark line itself is totally normal and just hormones doing their thing, nothing to worry about! The thing is, not every pregnant person gets one, and some who do find it fades after delivery while others have it linger a bit, it just depends on your skin and genetics. If it's getting darker or you're concerned about anything else, it's always good to mention it to your OB at your next checkup, pero from what most of us experience, this is just one of those pregnancy quirks.
