SSS maternity benefit

Hello mommies! Ask ko lang po regarding sa SSS maternity benefit if may makukuha ba ako. Kakastart ko lang maghulog nung Oct. 2022 as self-employed, pero this November si employer na po ang maghuhulog sakin since iche-change na nila ang status ko as "employed" na. Ang EDD ko is May 2023 #firstbaby

Ay sis, congrats on your first baby! Honestly, I'm not 100% sure sa exact rules ng SSS maternity benefit kasi baka may minimum months na kailangan mo ng contributions bago makuha mo siya, a few of us had to check with SSS directly kasi ang requirements ay nag-iba depending on kung self-employed ka or employed ka. Best talaga na direktang tawagan mo ang SSS hotline or mag-visit ka sa nearest SSS branch para malaman mo kung qualified ka na with your contribution history from Oct 2022 plus the months your employer will contribute, because timing and contribution months matter talaga sa maternity benefits!
