Lactose Intolerance

Hi, mommies! Ask ko lang po if normal ba na watery ang stool ni baby? Watery sya, tumatagos sa diaper nya pero once a day lang, maximum na yung dalawa. 3 months sya currently and pure breastfeed. Pumunta kami sa Pedia and hindi naman daw diarrhea if 1-2 times a day lang dumudumi pero niresetahan kami ng NAN Lactose Free. Try daw namin for 2 days to see baka lactose intolerance lang si baby.We tried NAN Lactose Free pero hindi nya talaga gusto yung lasa and hirap kami i-bottle feed sya since sanay sya na breastfeeding. Mama, honestly 1-2 times a day ng watery stool ay normal talaga for breastfed babies at 3 months, kung paano ang consistency ng breast milk, yan ang output nila! Since ang pedia said hindi diarrhea and baby's okay otherwise (gaining weight, alert, happy), I'd lean towards continuing breastfeeding lang muna rather than forcing the formula, the transition stress might actually make things harder. If you're worried it could be lactose intolerance, you might also ask your pedia kung kailangan mo mag-adjust ng diet mo (like reducing dairy) before jumping to formula, since breast milk is still best for baby; pero if symptoms get worse (high fever, blood sa stool, baby seems uncomfortable) definitely check with your doctor again right away to rule out other things. How's baby doing otherwise, healthy, good weight gain, okay na skin?
