Ahhh I feel you lah, that's so frustrating when the blood sample gets spoiled like that! From what I understand, sugar water can sometimes affect how the blood clots or breaks down if it gets mixed in, so the lab can't read it properly, and then you have to go back and do the whole poke again. A few of us mummies in my group have had this happen during fasting puasa tests too, and honestly it's just one of those things lah, sometimes the timing or mixing isn't right. Best thing is to mention it to your clinic or doctor next time so they know to be extra careful, or ask if there's a specific way they want you to have your sugar water (some say after, some say before). Hang in there, I know it's annoying when you've already fasted and now need to go back!
