About relationship. I need help pls

Hello mga mommy. So i have here a situation. Before nung bago palang kami ng boyfriend ko we were so okay walang problema, walang cheating issue etc. Pero as days, months, pass by, things happened. Christmas year 2021, he went home to his hometown to visit sana sa parents nya. But iba yung nangyari. He invited his ex over to their house, and "it" happened. Nalaman ko because I saw pictures his sister uploaded on facebook na nandoon nga ang girl sa bahay nila. So I confronted him, umamin naman nya. To make the long story short, we got back together. Nag usap kami ng maayos at inaayos namin yung sa amin. So far we are okay na ngayon we even had a baby boy. So here the tea. We were planning na pabinyagan anak namin sa hometown nya. I agreed because time na rin yun para ma meet ko family nya. But I can sense something na balak nila i-invite yung ex na pinag cheatan ng boyfriend ko saken dati. I don't know why but that gives me so much disrespect! For a reason na may mga pinagsamahan din daw naman and minsan na rin daw naging part ng family nila yung girl. Like is that even okay? May anak na kami ang we are already building a family tapos that girl iiinvite?! They don't know how the hell I've felt before nung nangyari yung cheating incident na yun, I almost lost myself. Now our relationship is okay pero why naman ganon ang family? Pls enlighten me if tama na tong ginagawa nila.

Mama, I totally understand why you're upset, honestly, a lot of us would feel the same way sa shoes mo. The thing is, this isn't really about what's "okay" or not; it's about what you can accept, and it sounds like inviting the ex to your son's baptism feels like a slap in the face after everything you went through, which is valid! I think you need to have a serious, calm talk with your boyfriend before the baptism plans go further, telling him exactly how this makes you feel and why it's not okay for you, especially on such an important day for your family. A few of us moms have been through similar situations, and honestly, setting that boundary now (not angry, but firm) usually works better than letting resentment build up during what should be a happy celebration for your baby. Maybe he can explain to his family na this time, it's just immediate family and close loved ones, your comfort matters too, not just tradition or being friendly with an ex. How does your boyfriend feel when you tell him this bothers you?

Ay sis, I feel you talaga, that's such a painful thing to go through, and it's totally valid na uncomfortable ka sa idea na ma-invite siya sa binyag ng baby ninyo. Honestly, a few of us moms have been through trust issues with our partners, and what helped ay direct conversation with the boyfriend mismo, not the family, but him, about kung bakit siya okay with that, kung alam ba niya kung paano ka makakaramdam, and setting boundaries together as a couple before facing the family. The binyag should be about celebrating your baby and your little family, hindi tungkol sa past drama, kaya maybe frame it na ganyan sa boyfriend, na this day is sacred for you three, and you need him to have your back. Communication is key dito, love, but if you two still can't agree or if this keeps bothering you, couples counseling might really help, lalo na may bata na kayo. Wishing you peace with this!
