Breastfeeding Tips for First time mom

Hi mga mii. I plan to breastfeed my baby and hopefully it will work out 🤞I've heard breastfeeding is tough din talaga so I'd like to prepare myself. I'm 26 weeks and 4 days now. July EDD 😊 Any tips po mommies on how to effectively breastfeed and para marami maproduce na milk? Are there any preparations I can do now or in the following weeks? Any creams, suggestions on breast pumps (manual/electronic), etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! #pleasehelp #advicepls #firsttimemom #firstbaby #FTM #TeamJuly

Congrats sa July baby, momma! Honestly, the best prep is just knowing na it will hurt at first, hindi ka mag-iisip you're doing something wrong, but a few of us tried Mama's Choice Nipple Cream during those first painful weeks and it really helped us push through, plus it's safe for baby so you don't need to wipe it off before feeding. For milk supply, hydration and frequent feeding are honestly your best friends (my lactation consultant kept hammering that in), so stock up on water and snacks now, and don't stress about engorgement creams just yet, see how you go first because some of us didn't even need them. A manual pump is a good start since you're just beginning, pero if you find breastfeeding overwhelming, an electric one can be a lifesaver later on; one of my mum friends bought hers from Lazada and natipid pa siya. Most importantly, connect with a good lactation consultant early, either sa hospital or independent, kasi they'll catch latch issues before they become bigger problems. You've got this!
