Can feed lactulose. Get from pharmacy. It's safe even for infants. But do monitor her food, whether could it be because of new food, milk formula or may be a habit that she prefers not to pass out and keep holding it till it accumulates to a point that it's so hard to pass out. I went through a rather big ordeal with my elder son when he was around 2 to 3yo. He just hold his stools till a point that we had to administer the fleet treatment to get his stools out. After seeing numerous docs and specialist, all gave the same feedback that there was nothing wrong with his diet (except that he should up his fiber intake) and it is likely to be a psychological issue. After some time with us trying different ways to encourage him to pass motion daily, he became more at ease to do so and I guess as he grows, he outgrow the psychological barrier and now, he is a healthy boy who eats very well, with a daily consistent output too.

Having a nutrition daily diet will prevent constipation. Encourage your child to take his regular fruits & vegetables daily so he can have sufficient intake of fiber. On top of this, I give my child Friso Gold as it contains probiotics & its LockNutri technology, preserving milk proteins so it can be readily absorbed by your child. When your child has good digestion, she will also be able to absorb nutrients better & hence will not have constipation problem.

How old is he? Is he having vegetables and fruits? Or it could be fm. My boy is having dumex all along after stopped bfing as I know dumex focuses on the guts which aids digestion. He have no issue with his stool.

You can try dumex mamil milk powder. Its contain immunofortis, vitamin and prebiotics and high DHA which helps soften bb's stool. A lot of parents also comment about it too

Can give prune juice but dilute it . Or give probiotics daily . Make sure she drinks enough water too

Pear, pumpkin, papaya.. Does she drink enough water as well?
