Firstly, sending you lots of love and strength, emergency C-section at 34 weeks is really overwhelming, especially as a first-timer, but you are doing so well, mama. My neighbour went through something similar with pre-eclampsia and her baby was born around that weight too, and she said the most important thing is to trust the NICU team completely and ask them every question, no matter how small it seems. For your own recovery, do take the C-section wound care seriously, gentle movement, support your tummy when you cough or sneeze, and don't rush to get up alone those first few days. For baby at 34 weeks, the lungs and feeding are usually the main focus, so be patient with the NICU stay and try to do as much skin-to-skin (kangaroo care) as the nurses allow, as it really does help with baby's progress. Of course, every case is different, so do keep checking in closely with your O&G and paediatrician as they know your and baby's situation best, wishing you a smooth recovery and speedy homecoming for your little one!
