latch problem
I'm in my 3rd wk postpartum. Trying to latch baby but unable to as my nipples are short. Now pumping can only get 40ml the most. Baby taking 60ml formula and top up with ebm. Shld i engage LC? They charging $180 per session, they said shld take 5 sessions $800. Any of u had experience wif LC?

I had short nipples too. And feeding ebm, at times fm if no time to warm ebm. Didnt engage lc. But hubby was supportive and told me to take one thing at a time. Seeing hw much i wanna bf, he bought me nipple puller and nipple shield. I started off with latching when time permits, usually once per day at a specific timing, using nipple shield. Sometimes its a success, sometimes not... I dont force baby... If she cant just feed ebm. Didnt want to stress myself too, later no milk. I learnt the hard way.. One day while trying to latch her on, my nipple shield dropped on the floor with dusts and everything. So i just attempted direct latch with no shield. To my surprise, she was able to latch on! Didnt even gt to usebthe puller... Press on mummy. But ofc lc is also one way..
