Positive Birth Stories (NUH)

I've heard really good things about NUH from mums in my circle, honestly. A few have shared their positive experiences there, some went in wanting a natural birth and managed it well with the support from their midwives, while others who needed pain relief found the medical team very responsive and made them feel safe with their choices. What I appreciate hearing is that NUH seems pretty good at treating each birth as individual; they're not pushing you one way or the other, just working with what you need on the day. The ward staff apparently get to know you quite well during labour too, which helps. If you're leaning towards NUH, I'd say go for it, just chat with your gynae early on about what kind of birth experience you're hoping for, and they'll set you up properly for it.
