Dostinex medicine
Can I offer breast milk to my LO after taking dostinex. He seem cranky after consuming my milk. Need advice.

Hi mum, I went through something similar when milk supply was affected by medication also, so I understand your worry. Dostinex (cabergoline) is actually used to reduce prolactin, so it can significantly reduce breast milk production, and in some cases the milk may also not be recommended depending on timing and your doctor’s advice. If your baby seems cranky after feeds, I would be a bit cautious and consider checking with your doctor or PD first before continuing breastfeeding, just to make sure it’s safe for your situation. You can also observe if baby improves with formula or expressed milk in the meantime while you clarify with your gynae.
