TB family member

I have a baby at home and my dad has mild tuberculosis he's drinking meds for it but at the same time doing his vices like yosi, alcohol and sometimes drugs(yeah he denies it every time but we know) I worried that the meds might not work because of his vices and he's holding my baby. We knew that after 2-3weeks of meds it's safe na but I don't know about him because of his da*n vices.Does anyone know if it's safe given his situation or not?
