Checking dilation

I have an appointment with KKH next week where they are going to check dilation of cervix as I am 38 weeks in. Is it really painful? The strep b swab they did for me was really painful and rough. Male doctor.

Not really just need to breathe in and out when needed. Keep calm and let them know to be gentle.
