I Don't want using sugar for my toddlers snacks, but he doesn't like honey. What is the best subtitute for sweet except honey for making cake/ cookie?

I either use applesauce or pure maple syrup to sweeten desserts if I don't want to use sugar. Works just fine, in my opinion, for cakes and cupcakes. For cookies and other "dry bakes", I'd use agave or stevia.
