Hurtful Df
I dont understand why df so painful and seems like no one talks about it, or did I do it wrong. Its always hurt at first bite, when baby latch. Then it hurt to stop as I try to open gap between the mouth.
Ooh I totally feel you, df (direct feeding) pain is REAL and honestly so many of us went through it but memang tak ramai talk about it openly! The latch pain at first bite and especially when baby breaks the latch is super common, but it shouldn't stay painful forever lah. A few of us mum friends realised after seeing a lactation consultant that the latch needed tweaking, or sometimes our nipples just needed time to toughen up (especially the first few weeks). Since cracked or sore nipples can make feeding really tough, you might want to check with a lactation consultant or your doctor to rule out issues like tongue tie or positioning problems, they can usually spot what's happening and give proper support.
