How much amount of sleep does a child really need?

From what I learned before, it really depends on the child. There's no exact amount of hours that a 'normal' child should get but there is a range of how many recommended hours that kids normally get. According to the National Sleep Foundation, Kids 1-2 years old should should get 11 - 14 hours of sleep. And so on.
