High blood pressure during pregnancy

How to lower my BP? Cuz Gyne suspect that my placenta may not functioning properly due to producing low amniotic fluid and lead to high BP. Is there any remedies to it? I would wish to have natural birth. Please help

Oh dear, I really feel for you, that combination of high BP and low amniotic fluid together can be quite worrying, and it's completely understandable you want to explore your options carefully. From what I've heard from other mums who went through similar situations, the two issues are often connected, when the placenta isn't functioning well, it can affect fluid levels and push BP up at the same time, so treating one in isolation doesn't always work. My neighbour went through something similar around 36 weeks and her doctor was quite firm that while natural birth wasn't off the table, it really depended on whether the BP stayed below a certain threshold and the baby continued to show good movement, so the goalposts can shift week by week. Some mums managed to keep their BP more stable with strict bed rest, staying well hydrated, and cutting sodium way down, but a few found that no amount of home remedies made a real dent once the placenta issue was the root cause, so it's important not to rely on remedies alone when monitoring is this critical. The honest trade-off is that natural birth may still be possible depending on how things progress, but the priority really has to be keeping both you and baby safe, so please do go back to your gynae or ask for a referral to a maternal-fetal medicine specialist who can assess your specific numbers and placenta function more closely before making any birth plan decisions.
