Oo, ang 4-year-olds ay talaga namang challenging stage, di ba! A few of us moms tried being consistent with time-outs (like 4 minutes lang since 4 years old sya), removing toys temporarily, or acknowledging his feelings first before explaining why what he did was wrong, parang "I see you're angry, pero hindi okay ang pag-hit", kasi parang naiintindihan nila better pag nararamdaman nila na understood sila. One of my mum friends swears na the key talaga is patience at staying calm yourself, dahil kapag nakikita nila we're not losing it, they settle down faster too. Consistent boundaries at rewards para sa good behavior (sticker chart works magic!) helps a lot din. Ang main thing is, keep it simple, short explanation lang, then move on, kasi they have short attention spans pa rin at hindi nila malalim na maintindihan ang long lectures.
