Low placenta
Has anyone had low placenta? the placenta lying to your c sec scar. Anyone who encounters this before? doc told may be risk during c-sec might stuck to the womb. I'm really worried 😟

Oh, this is such a stressful thing to find out, you are definitely not alone in worrying about it. From what I've heard, when the placenta lies over or near a previous C-section scar, there is a real (though not guaranteed) risk of placenta accreta, where the placenta attaches too deeply into the uterine wall and can cause serious bleeding during delivery, my friend went through something similar at KKH and said the team there was very thorough about monitoring her closely with extra scans and having a specialist surgeon on standby for the C-section. The silver lining some mums shared is that if it's caught early and well-managed, the doctors can plan carefully, though a few did mention heavier bleeding and, in more serious cases, possible bladder involvement or even very rarely a hysterectomy to stop the bleeding, so it is worth understanding the full range of possibilities rather than brushing it aside. The good news is that many mums with low-lying placentas do see it shift upward as pregnancy progresses, but with a prior C-section scar in the picture, the chance of it moving is a bit lower, so the monitoring really matters. All that said, every case is different, so it's really worth having a detailed conversation with your own OB or a maternal-fetal medicine specialist who can look at your specific scans and history.
