Nipple crack

Sabar ya mommy, nipple crack memang sangat menyakitkan especially bila baby dah almost a month and feeding is so frequent! Someone in my mum group mentioned trying lanolin cream, apply generously on a breast pad and leave it on overnight, and a few mummies said it helped heal noticeably faster, though a small number did find it a bit too greasy for their liking. Do also make sure your bra is not too tight, as extra friction on already sore nipples will slow down healing, and try to avoid harsh soaps directly on the nipple area when showering. After each feed, you can also gently dab a little of your own breast milk on the crack and let it air dry for a moment before covering up, as breast milk has natural soothing and healing properties. Of course, since your case sounds quite painful and has been going on a while, it would be worth seeing your doctor or a lactation consultant just to make sure there is no underlying issue like a latch problem or infection, take good care of yourself, mommy!
