Aw, good question! A few of us din sa circle ko did exactly this, nag-prenatal sa private clinic kasi mas convenient, tapos nag-deliver sa lying in dahil mas affordable ang actual birth. Honestly, it worked out fine para sa amin, though you have to make sure ang private OB mo ay willing mag-coordinate with the lying in staff, and bring lahat ng medical records mo para smooth ang transition. Some of my friends said the lying in staff were professional naman, pero mas limited ang amenities compared sa private hospital, so just manage your expectations doon.
