Wah, pregnancy itch can be really uncomfortable! A few of my mum friends experienced this during their second and third trimester, one said it was the hormones and the skin stretching, another swore the itch went away once she used a good moisturiser religiously. Definitely mention this to your doctor or midwife lah, because while it's usually normal, sometimes sudden itching all over can be a sign of something that needs checking (like cholestasis, which is more serious), so better safe than sorry. In the meantime, try keeping your skin really moisturised, avoid hot showers, and wear loose cotton clothes, that's what helped my friend the most! Hang in there, mama, hopefully it settles down soon.
