Umbilical Cord

Hi. Ftm here. More than 2 weeks na si LO. Ask ko lang ano po kaya tong meron sa pusod nya? Natanggal pusod nya 1 week after birth. Then eto nagappear. Hindi ko po alam if dahil sa excessive crying, may pagkaiyakin po si LO. Magpa-schedule pa lang po kami sa pedia to check.

Ah mama, okay lang na nag-schedule ka na sa pedia, yan talaga ang best move para ma-check nang proper! Sometimes after the cord falls off, may mga changes pa sa area na yan, pero hindi dapat mag-alala ng todo-todo because your doctor will know exactly what's going on. A few of us moms also noticed things sa umbilical area ng babies namin after the cord fell, kaya you're not alone! Just keep it clean and dry hanggang ma-check ng pedia, at if it starts smelling funny, looks mas inflamed, or may discharge, don't wait, go to the clinic agad, okay? You're doing great asking about it!
